East End Park v Kirk Deighton Rangers Match Preview.

ree

Rangers return to league action tomorrow following their 9-2 win in the League Cup last Saturday, as a trip over to Skelton Road and East End Park awaits Dan Marshall’s men.

The match has a 2:30 pm kick-off time and the weather should be favourable with sunny intervals and a gentle breeze in store.

The Opposition.

East End Park are known to be a notoriously difficult team to play, but even they will be slightly disappointed with their start to the season, lying in 11th place with 11 points. On their own ground, they have won, drawn and lost one apiece, with six goals being scored (averaging 2 goals per home game) and nine being conceded (averaging 3 goals per home game).

A win for us could see us potentially go second, but a defeat could see us in sixth place at the end of the day.

Head To Head.

The database shows just the two meetings last season, with this fixture ending in a 2-2 draw (Jake Young scoring twice) and East End nicking a 2-1 win at Barr Field (Adam Carter scoring for us).

Team News For Rangers.

With injuries starting to settle down for Rangers, Marshall will be hoping to take a very competitive squad over to Leeds. However, they will be without Luke Dubery, who is serving a one match suspension for collecting five yellow cards.

Joe Straker is still the only long-term injury, but there are a few players with niggles that will be assessed by the management team.

Man In The Middle.

The referee for this game is Mr Mike Stoddart. Mr Stoddart has been in charge of four other games, including our 3-3 draw against Otley Town. In these matches, he has sent five players to the Sin-Bin and issued five yellow cards. Fortunately, he has had no need to show anyone the red card!

Following The Match.

Due to work commitments, our Media team will be unable to attend this game. If you would like to go however, then the address you will need is Skelton Road, Leeds, LS9 9EP.

After the game, we will be presenting our Kirk Deighton Rangers B&F Electrical Distributors Man Of The Match award, so please stick around to congratulate the winning player.
