The Reserves make the short journey to St John Fishers to play Harrogate Old Boys this Saturday, as they begin the defence of the Harrogate & District Hulme Cup that they won last season.
The game has a 1:30 pm kick-off time and with thick cloud and light rain forecast, it may be wise to bring an umbrella and warm clothes.
The Opposition.
At the time of this preview, Harrogate Old Boys are in 3rd position in the Jan Sinker Memorial Division One.
On their home turf, they have won one of the three matches that they have played. Goals wise, they have scored and conceded 11 times meaning they have an average of 3.7 goals scored and conceded per game at home.
Head To Head.
The two teams have never met in a competitive game, although they did play a friendly at the beginning of last season. That match ended in a 4-2 win for Rangers with goals coming from Josh Barden, Sam Straker, Jonny Hadley and Joe Straker.
Team News For Rangers.
With Manager Kris Macdonald having to miss the game due to a prior arrangement, John-Paul Williams will be standing in for him. However, it is more than likely that the majority of the team that beat Wyke Wanderers Reserves 5-0 last time out will feature again.
