Hartshead AFC v Kirk Deighton Rangers Match Preview

ree

It’s hopefully a case of third time lucky for Rangers tomorrow when they travel to Cleckheaton to play Hartshead AFC, looking to get their first win of the season.

Kick-Off is 2:30 pm and a glance at the Weather App shows that we might actually have a decent day for football, with Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze forecast!

The Opposition.

Hartshead have been trying to get back to the Premier Division since their relegation in 2017/2018. Last season, they finished in 6th position with 45 points and it will take a brave man to bet against them being in the mix at the send of the campaign.

A strong team who play hard and fast, they opened their season with a. 2-1 win away at Shelley, but then had their next game against Oxenhope Recreation postponed.

Head To Head.

We have only met each other twice, but we hold the advantage with a win each time. The last time we met on their ground, goals from Will Bates (2) and Rob Holliday helped us to a 3-1 win.

Team News For Rangers.

With certain elements working in 3-3 draw against Otley Town, the management trio will be looking to further refine things, and this may well require a shuffle in personnel. Manager Dan Marshall is hopeful that he will have several players back and this should allow him to field a very competitive team that takes to the pitch.

What About Hartshead?

At this stage it is unknown what team they will field. We know that it will be a side that will scrap for every ball, so we will have to be prepared to work hard and play as a unit if we are to get anything from the game.

The Man In The Middle.

The referee for this match will be Mr David Margetson. This is his third game in charge, and so far he has issued four yellow cards, one red and sent two players to the Sin-Bin!

Following The Game.

Unfortunately, due to work commitments, there will not be our usual level of Social Media presence at the game.

If however you would like to go and watch the team play, the address you will need is Princess Lane, Cleckheaton, Liversedge, WF15 6LW.

We will also be presenting our first Kirk Deighton Rangers B&F Electrical Distributors Man Of The Match award after the game, so please stick around for that as well.
