Kirk Deighton Rangers v Salts FC Match Preview.

Rangers welcome Salts To Barr Field on Saturday for the latest in a string of difficult West Yorkshire League One matches.

The game has a scheduled 2:30 pm kick-off time, but due to the terrible weather that we have experienced recently, please keep watching this website, or our social media channels for match status updates.

If the game goes ahead, then it will be warm clothes, Wellington boots and umbrellas at the ready as the weather, unsurprisingly, doesn’t look too good with heavy winds and rain forecast!

The Opposition.

Following a couple of 2-2 draws, Rangers will be looking to get back to winning ways, but this could prove difficult against a good Salts side who are more than capable of getting a result against anybody.

At present, they are in 8th place in the league, but a run of good results will see them move right up the table.

Away from their Salts Sports Ground home, they have won five of the nine matches that they have played. They have collected another two points through draws and suffered two defeats against Pool and, more recently, Hartshead.

Goals wise, they have scored an impressive 31 times on their travels, averaging 3.4 goals scored per away league game. They have conceded 15 times, which averages 1.7 goals conceded per away league game.

Looking at the stats on the FA Full-Time website, Rangers will have to pay attention to Sam Waterhouse who has ten goals already this season.

Head To Head.

A quick reconnoiter through the database reveals that this may well be the first meeting between the two sides.

Team News For Rangers.

Luke Dubery will be missing from this match due to serving a one match suspension following his sending off against Pool AFC.

The Man In The Middle.

Mr Jason Smith is the referee for this game. This will be his fifteenth game in charge, with another eight as Assistant Referee.

Looking at FA Stats, it appears that Mr Smith has sent one player to the Sin-Bin, cautioned 15 and dismissed 6.

Following The Match.

We are hoping that our media team will be present at this game, so if you can't attend, but would like to be kept up-to-date with the score, please log onto our twitter feed.

We will be open an hour before the match starts. Our clubhouse will be ready to serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks should you want one before kick-off.

If you have any spare change that you would like to donate, we will have our prostate Cancer UK collection boxes around the clubhouse. You can also buy one of their great Men United Pin Badges for a pound from these boxes as well.

We are also accepting donations for the Wetherby and District Foodbank. Please see any of our club officials who will take your generous donation.

To end, we will be presenting our Bennett & Fountain Man Of The Match award to the winning Kirk Deighton Rangers player.
