Fans of our club will know the name Craig Robson. Over the last few years, the custodian has played for both our Reserves and Veterans side and has become a massive part of both teams. However, his presence at the club is far more reaching than just being on the pitch.
Not only has Craig sponsored numerous first team matches, but this season he has also sponsored both our KDRAFC TV channel and two of his fellow goalkeepers in Jonty Smith and Lewis Mallinson, which is an amazing gesture.
However, Craig needs our help now and as a club we urge all our players and fans to do what they can.
Over the last few months Craig has been training hard to take part in the Yorkshire Marathon on the 20th October. He is doing this to raise money for the amazing charity York Mind, which supports those with mental health issues on the pathway towards recovery.
Mental Health issues have become very prevalent in the media recently with the message being that it’s ok not to be ok and that talking about things is fine. This is a message that Craig fully understands and please read his story here and donate. Like many at the club who have read his story, we were shocked at what he says, but over the moon by how he has dealt with the situation and issues he found himself in.
As a club we are fully united and behind our goalkeeper and friend and several members have already donated, but we want to see that total reached and pushed past the £500.00 target that Craig has set – with your help, we can easily achieve this.
As such, we are very proud to announce that Craig is now sponsored by Kirk Deighton Rangers AFC, and any photos that we use of him will now feature this caption.
