If you can’t make the journey over to Cookridge with the First Team, then don’t fear, our Reserves side will be continuing their quest to gain top spot in the West Yorkshire Alliance Division 2 when they entertain Otley Town Reserves. Kick-off for this game is 2:30pm and it should be a decent day weather wise!
The cancellation of the Hulme Cup match against Boroughbridge “A’ last Saturday came at a bad time for Kris Macdonald’s men as they were building up a nice run that had seen them go four matches unbeaten and a week off wasn’t welcomed at all!
Our visitors arrive at Barr Field sitting slap bang in the middle of the league table (7th place) with a total of 6 points from a possible 15. On the road, they have picked up five of these points with a win and two draws. They have managed to score eight times (avg. 2.7 goals per game) and conceded four (avg. 1.3 goals per game). A look at the goalscorers stats on the FA website shows Joe Clulow is their leading man with 2 goals to his name.
Taking control of this match will be Mr Justin Crowther. This will be Mr Crowther’s second match in charge with his other being the 8-1 victory that Ilkley Town Reserves enjoyed over Sherburn White Rose Reserves at the beginning of this month. At present, it appears that no cards have been issued by Mr Crowther.
We hope that the referee, the fans & officials of Otley Town and any of our supporters have a pleasant journey too and from Barr Field. The clubhouse will be open from around 1pm and will be serving a good range of alcoholic and soft beverages.
Please come down and support local football, we will also have the collection box for Prostate Cancer Uk at the bar and if you gave any pennies (or pounds) that you could donate to this great cause, then we would be grateful.
