It's back onto the pitch for our Reserve team on Saturday as they take on Polonia Yorkshire in the first-ever meeting between the two sides.

In a change to the advertised venue, this match is now at Grange Park. The kick-off time remains at 1 pm. However, please be aware that social distancing guidelines still apply.

Polonia Yorkshire

There is not a lot of information available on our opponents, mainly because they are a newly formed team (in or around 2016), but it does look like they have applied to play in the Wakefield & District League this season.

What is known, however, is that they are a good side. Recent pre-season matches have seen victories over Wakefield Athletic Reserves (3-0), Selby Olympia (7-2), AFC Sheaf (3-0) and a 2-2 draw with Nostell Miners Welfare FC Reserves.

One To Watch

Again, a difficult one to highlight, but going by statistics, it seems that Hubert Jamróz is their leading goalscorer. They have recorded at least seven different scorers during pre-season, which indicates that goals are capable from all over the pitch!

Team News For Rangers

Manager Kris Macdonald will be looking for his side to bounce back from the 4-1 defeat they recently suffered against Robin Hood Athletic Reserves. However, the gaffer will be without several players due to various reasons, so it could be a chance for other faces to impress.
