Oxenhope Recreation v Kirk Deighton Rangers Match Preview

ree

It’s another tough game for Rangers as they make the long journey over to the picturesque home of Oxenhope Recreation this Saturday.

Please note, at this moment we are not sure if the game will take place at The Recreation Ground or Marley Playing Fields in Keighley. As soon as we know, we will inform you.

The game has a 2:30 pm kick-off time, and a look at the weather shows a mixture of light cloud, showers and sunny intervals!

The Opposition.

Oxenhope grabbed their first three points of the season with a hard fought 1-0 win over our neighbours Wetherby Athletic. We know that they are a difficult team to play as it took a goal late into the match to beat them 1-0 at Barr Field a few weeks ago and we expect it to be an equally difficult match at the weekend!

On their home soil, they have won once out of four games. They have scored nine times, averaging 2.3 goals scored per home game, whilst conceding the second highest of a home team with 21 (averaging 5.3 goals per home game)

A win for us could bring us level with Glasshoughton Rock in third place, whilst a defeat could drop us into sixth place.

Head To Head.

The win earlier on this season makes it 2-1 to us in terms of victories. Goals wise, there is a bit of a bigger margin with 11 to us and 6 to Oxenhope.

Team News For Rangers.

With the news that Josh Buckley joins Joe Straker and Jack Abbott on the long-term injury list, Manager Dan Marshall will be looking at his defensive options. Fortunately, Luke Dubery returns from his one match suspension and should go back into the back-line.

Up front, Ashley Tatler returned last week against East End Park and will be looking to get back amongst the goals and catch up with Charlie Yates, who leads with nine.

According to the FA Full Time website, Oxenhope will be without James Bailey, Liam Bonner and Liam McNicol, who are all suspended.

The Man In The Middle.

The referee for this game is Mr Abdul Hakimy. This will be Mr Hakimy’s first match in charge this season although he was an Assistant Referee in the Field v Whitkirk Wanderers encounter.

Following The Match.

Our media team should be present at this match, so if you can’t attend, but would like to be kept up-to-date with the score, please bring up our Twitter field.

If you would like to go to the game, then as mentioned before it will either be at The Recreation Ground, Hebden Bridge Road, Oxenhope BD22 9LP or Marley Playing Fields in Keighley, West Yorkshire BD21 4DB.

To end the afternoon, we will be presenting our Kirk Deighton Rangers B&F Electrical Distributors Man Of The Match award to the wining player, so please stay and give the lucky recipient your congratulations.

Our Man of the Match award is proudly sponsored by:
