Preview - Harrogate Old Boys

Rangers take on newcomers Harrogate Old Boys tonight.

Finally the waiting is over and football returns as we welcome newcomers to the Harrogate & District league Harrogate Old Boys to Barr Field.

Not a lot is really known about our opponents except that they play at Rossett Sports Centre and are the brainchild of Chairman Mike Jauncey, Secretary Charlie Hartley and Treasurer Jason Rowe, who were all previously with Hampsthwaite United.

Like us, the Old Boys play in blue and white, so a change of colours will definitely be in order tonight!

They have already attracted a fair amount of publicity and sponsorship, and will be hoping to get a good pre-season under their belts, ready for the challenge of the league.

Both Rangers First Team Manager Dan Marshall and Reserves Manager Kris Macdonald will be looking to give run outs to new players, and a mixture of first teamers and reserves tonight.

The club bar will be open, so come on down and enjoy football and a drink pre and post match. It promises to be a superb game and might even top the excitement of the recent England match!
