The First-Team will be hoping to bounce back from their opening day defeat against Wyke Wanderers with a much more clinical performance against Otley Town this Saturday.
Kick-Off is 1:00 pm, but under Government guidelines, spectators are unable to watch this match.
The Opposition.
Like us, Otley started with a defeat, going 2-0 down against Rawdon Old Boys at Rawdon. A win for both teams could see them jump straight into the upper half of the table.
Past Meetings.
According to our database, this will be the 7th time that the two clubs have met (however, there may be more as the data is incomplete at present). We have also played their Reserves at least 14 times and Otley Rovers 10 times.
Officially the last time we met was on the 8th December 2018 when Roman Neal scored in a 1-1 draw. We did play each other in this seasons opening fixture which ended as a 4-1 win for us. Goals that day came from Ashley Tatler, with a brace and one each for Rob Holliday and Conor Buckley.
The Referee.
Mr John Hartley is the man in charge of this game, and this will be his second match as referee since football returned. He has shown at least one yellow card as Headingley Reserves ran out 2-1 winners against Field Reserves.
Team News.
Rangers will once again be without Josh Bhandal, who is serving a suspension. Manager Dan Marshall hopes to have more of his squad available and will wait until the last moment to name his team for this match.
Matchday Partner.
Anyone who follows us knows of our partnership with Prostate Cancer UK. It is a charity very close to our hearts, and we are very proud to have raised over £10,000 for them.
