Our hearts are broken as we sadly announce that our friend and former player Lloyd Pinder has passed away.
As many of you may already know, Lloyd suffered from Prostate Cancer, but rather than hiding away from it he tackled it as he did on the pitch - without compromise!
A great ambassador for the charity Prostate Cancer UK, Lloyd undertook many walks with both his family, friends and celebrities such as Jeff Stelling, Paul Merson and Ray Parlour to raise both vital funds and awareness of this terrible disease.
They say that the wealth of a person is the number of friends that they have - Lloyd was truly a rich man, and he always made sure he had time for them all no matter what else was happening.
His sense of humour, cheekiness and stories of his antics, both on and off the pitch, awarded him legendary status within our club. We all have many fond memories of our time with him and will miss him deeply.
We send all our love, support, sympathies and condolences to his wife Tina, his two lovely girls and the rest of his family at this terrible time.
We are truly devastated by this.
