Rawdon Old Boys v Kirk Deighton Rangers Match Preview.

Following a horrible run of cup defeats, Rangers return to league action as we face old rivals Rawdon Old Boys on Saturday.

The game kicks-off at 2 pm at Hanson Field, but the weather doesn't look to be too good with rain showers forecast all day.

As with all our games, please keep checking this website and Social Media Channels for updates.

The Opposition.

Following their relegation at the end of last season, Rawdon responded well, and at present are in seventh place with 21 points from a possible 33.

On home soil, they remain the only unbeaten side in the division. They have dropped only two points after drawing 4-4 with Campion.

Goals wise, they have scored 20 times and conceded 9, which averages 5.0 goals scored per home game and 1.8 goals conceded per home game.

Craig Nicholls leads Rawdon's goalscoring charts with ten goals so far, so Deighton's defence will need to be wary of the threat he carries.

Head To Head.

Both teams are well known to each other following their Harrogate League days. However, the database is incomplete for this period, so the total times met is unknown at present.

Team News For Rangers.

Manager Dan Marshall will have a good pool of players to pick from now that the illness that desecrated the club has finished.

One player who will be missing is Joe Barden as he begins the first of a two-match suspension for his sending off against Boroughbridge AFC.

The Man In The Middle.

Mr Sam Bragg will be the referee for this match. This is his fourth match in charge, and so far he has issued two yellow cards and one red one.

Following The Game.

Should you wish to go and watch this game, the address you will need is Hanson Field, Billing View, Rawdon, Leeds, LS19 6PR.

Unfortunately, our Media Team can't be present at this match due to work commitments.

To end, we will be presenting our Bennett & Fountain Man Of The Match award to the winning Kirk Deighton Rangers player. Please stay and give the lucky recipient your congratulations.
