On the 3rd April, The West Yorkshire Football League released the following statement about the current season and the situation regarding the Covid-19 virus that forced its suspension.
"With regards to the recent FA and WRCFA announcements suspending football and declaring that the 2019-20 NLS (Steps 3-7) season would be Null and Void:
After careful consideration and consultation, the League’s management committee has agreed that the same principle should be applied across all divisions and competitions of the WYAFL. In declaring the season as a Null and Void competition there will be no promotion or relegation between divisions in the 2019-20 season, while the League Cup and Trophy competitions are also concluded with immediate effect."
With this confirmed, Kirk Deighton Rangers AFC would like to thank the players, management and volunteers, who all put in supreme efforts to steer the club towards what looked to be another successful season.
We would also like to thank all the sponsors who have been fantastic in all aspects of backing the club and what we have tried to achieve.
We hope that you all stay safe and well during these unprecedented times, and when we can, we would like to welcome you all back to Barr Field.
