Up Next: Featherstone Colliery

Rangers will be aiming to avoid a trick and serve up a treat on Saturday as we travel over to play Featherstone Colliery.

The game starts at 2:30 pm, and spectators are permitted to watch, however, please follow any Covid restrictions that Featherstone have implemented, and maintain Social Distancing and the 'Rule of Six'. This is vital for football at our level to continue.

A look at the MET app shows a range of weather conditions with heavy rain giving way to sunny spells!

Featherstone Colliery.

Our opponents sit five places above in the league in ninth place. They have collected six points from a possible 18 thanks to wins over Otley Town and more recently G&C Hartshead. Featherstone's only over home match ended in an 8-2 defeat against Salts, but the facts prove that they are a strong team on their home ground!

A win for us could see climb off the bottom rung and into mid-table, so Rangers need to regain that winning feeling, and soon!

We have met Featherstone Colliery three times, although the last encounter no longer stands in the record books. At present, we both share a victory each with our win coming in November 2018 following a Roman Neal hat-trick in a 4-1 win (Josh Barden with the other goal).

One To Watch.

Jordan Finch is Featherstone's danger man at the moment with five goals to his name.

Team News.

Charlie Yates is suspended for this game following his dismissal against Rawdon Old Boys.

Apart from Yates, the Management has a good selection of players to choose from, so it should be a very competitive Rangers squad that travels to Cressey's Corner.

The Referee.

Mr Andrew Smith is in charge of this game, which will see him take up the whistle for the fifth time this season. In his previous matches, he has shown four yellow cards and one red card.

Match Information.

The address for Featherstone Colliery FC is Cressey's Corner, Green Lane, Featherstone WF7 6LJ.
