Wednesday night football returns to Barr Field as Rangers play Headingley AFC in a pre-season fixture.

The kick-off is 7 pm, and fans are welcome to attend. The weather may not be so good, and umbrellas may be required as rain is forecast.

Our opponents are now well established in the Premier League since their promotion at the end of the 15/16 season, and they claimed their highest finish during the 16/17 season when they finished sixth.

We have never faced Headingley in a competitive match, but having met several times in pre-season games, we know that they are skilful and creative, and it will need concentration on our behalf to counter this.

The signs are looking pretty good for Manager Dan Marshall, and he will be hoping to field a strong team for this game. Several players who impressed in the 2-1 defeat on Saturday may feature as well.
