Following our fine 3-0 win over Field AFC last weekend, we face former league leaders Horbury Town at Barr Field this Saturday.
The kick-Off for this match is 2 pm, and the weather should be dry, with possible fog.
Our Opponents.
Until the last few weeks, Horbury were sitting pretty at the top of the table. However, Beeston St Anthonys have knocked them down a place, although with two games in hand, it won't be a surprise to see our guests back on top anytime soon.
So far, Horbury have yet to lose a game this season and have only dropped six points from a possible 42. They have scored 40 times so far (averaging 2.9 goals per game) and also have the meanest defence of the entire league, conceded just 14 (averaging 1.0 goals per game)
Gibril Bojang leads their goalscoring charts with an impressive 13 goals so far.
Previous Meetings.
Our database shows only two meetings between both clubs, and neither has seen us claim a win. Earlier this season, we played out an entertaining 3-2 defeat with Jack Cheetham and Ash Tatler scoring our goals.
The only other meeting was in the League Cup in 2018, and we ended up losing 4-0!
Squad News.
Manager Dan Marshall should have a good selection of players for this game at his disposal. Joe Wilks has returned to training following his ankle injury and may feature in the squad.
Match Officials.
Mr Jason Smith, Mr Jason Payne and Mr Martin Ohr are the match officials, and we hope that they have a pleasant time while at Barr Field.
Media.
KDR AFC Media will be in attendance for this game. Please see our Twitter feed for match updates.
Clubhouse.
Our Clubhouse will be open from around 1 pm, so please drop in and enjoy one of the many beverages that we offer.
