Following the frustrating 2-2 draw against Headingley AFC Reserves on Monday, our Second-Team travel to the Slazengers Sports Complex to take on Horbury Town Reserves.
The match starts at 2:30 pm, and the weather, according to the MET, is forecast to be good, with temperatures around 17 degrees Celsius.
We would like to congratulate Horbury Town on their promotion to the North Counties East League at the end of this season.
The Opposition.
Horbury's Reserves sit in fifth place in the league table with 50 points from a possible 72. They have won 15 games, drawn five, and lost four, scoring 82 goals (averaging 3.4 goals per game) and conceding 36 (averaging 1.5 goals per game).
Tom Mee is their leading scorer with nine goals up to this point.
A win for Horbury could see them jump into third place, while a win for us could take us above Otley Town into ninth.
Past Meetings.
This match will be the third time the teams have crossed paths this season, and none of them has been successful for us, losing 2-0 in the Trophy and 4-0 in the league at Barr Field.
Squad News.
Manager Kris Macdonald will be without regular keeper Kieran Arnett who is still deputising for the injured Jonty Smith in the First-Team. Mitch Moore or Jason Lowe may fill in for him. Like his First-Team counterpart, Macdonald will also have to contend with several of his squad injured or unavailable.
Match Official.
Mr Andrew Smith is the referee for this game. This contest will be his eighth game in charge this season.
