With a new season here, we welcome Otley Town to Barr Field on Saturday for a 2:30 pm kick-off.

At present, spectators are welcome. However, we ask that you follow our guidelines at the ground and maintain social distancing at all times.

A look at the MET office app shows that Saturday will be a mixture of sunny spells with scattered showers.

Otley Town.

Like us, Otley have played quite a few pre-season games over the last month. They have four confirmed wins, with stand out results being 3-1 and 6-1 victories over Leeds City and Sherburn White Rose respectively.

Our database shows at least six meetings* between the two sides with the earliest being in 2008, which ended as a 2-2 draw. At present, the records show that we hold the advantage with three wins to Otley's one.

The last time that we officially met at Barr Field was the 22nd August 2018 when we won 4-1 with goals from Jake Young (2), Roman Neal and Joe Wilks.

One To Watch.

It's no exaggeration to say that Otley are one of the most dangerous teams in our league. With players able to score all over the pitch, we will have to match them in all key areas.

Connor Wilson looks to be one of their main goal threats, as is Harry Hawkings.

The F.A. Full-Time website indicates that they will be without Mitchal Lambert-Tuthill, who is suspended.

As Manager Dan Marshall has alluded to in post-match interviews, the form of his squad has given him several selection headaches.

With the majority of players available for selection, it should be a very competitive side that takes to the pitch to represent Rangers.
