Following our disappointing 1-1 draw against Aberford Albion last weekend, we travel over to Wyke Wanderers tomorrow in search of all three points.
Kick-Off is 2:30 pm, but please keep watching our social media/this website as the MET office has issued several weather warnings ahead of Storm Alex.
At present spectators are allowed to this match, but please remember to follow and respect the Covid-19 guidelines set out by our hosts.
Wyke Wanderers.
Wyke's season has started like ours with a win (2-1 v Oxenhope Recreation), a defeat (2-0 v Pool AFC) and most recently, a 0-0 draw against East End Park.
At present, they sit just a place behind us in the First Division, level on points but with a worse goal difference.
Relegated from the Premier Division at the end of the 2018-2019 season, Wyke were hot favourites to go straight back up, but as the footballing world stopped due to the pandemic, they were struggling in 15th place, although they had enough games in hand to move into mid-table.
This will officially be the first time that the teams have met, but last season did see two draws played out. Charlie Yates scored twice during a 2-2 draw at Wyke, and the teams were again unable to get one over each other with a 0-0 stalemate at Barr Field.
One To Watch.
Wyke's leading goalscorer last season was Ashley Andrews, and as he is named in tomorrow's squad, Rangers will have to keep a close watch on him.
One player who won't be taking part is Liam Hartley who is serving the last of his three-game suspension.
Team News.
Manager Dan Marshall will be without both Joe Wilks who is injured, and Joe Barden is suspended following his dismissal against Aberford Albion.
Referee.
Mr Stephen Lynch is the referee for this game. This is his fourth game already this campaign. So far, the stats show that he has issued just one yellow card so far.
An interesting stat is that in all the games he has been in charge of, there has never been a team that has failed to score! Hopefully, that will continue tomorrow!
Information.
At the moment it is unclear which game our Media-Team will be watching. However, we will attempt to bring you the result of all games involving Rangers as soon as full-time happens.
