When Lloyd and Dan met Jeff!

As Hannibal Higgins from the A-Team once exclaimed, “I love it when a plan comes together!” and today saw that very moment happen for both former KDRFC player Lloyd Pinder and First Team Manager Dan Marshall, when they handed over a cheque to Sky Sports Presenter and all-round good guy Jeff Stelling for an amazing £7,500.
As you may recall, the club recently, in conjunction with Lloyd, held the first ever Lloyd Pinder Golf Day at Rudding Park in aid of Prostate Cancer UK (which followers of the club will know is a charity very close to all our hearts – for those of you not steeped in the KDRFC way, please click here to read Lloyd’s Story) and, along with a raffle that contained some superb prizes (including a rare Tiger Woods signed cap that our very own David Campbell won), we all hoped that we would be able to break the £5,000 barrier, but we were all blown away by the final amount!
Jeff is no stranger to Lloyd and the club as both have united to take part in the March for Men walk that Jeff did between multiple football venues all throughout the UK during the past few years.
We would like to thank Jeff for taking time out of his extremely busy schedule planning for tomorrow’s program to meet with both Lloyd and Dan and as you can tell from the video, it was certainly worthwhile to all concerned.
As Lloyd mentioned in the video, the cheque will be given to Prostate Cancer UK in the next few days, but they still need vital funds to help fight this horrendous disease, please keep donating what you can either at the club at directly to the charity.
