For One Night Only .... Mr Rob Stabler!

The eagle eyed of you may have noticed a very curious comment on the Veterans Scorecard graphic that appeared on our Social Media feeds this evening!

For those of you who missed it, apart from displaying the superb 5-2 win over Otley Town Veterans, the following text also appeared “…although a penalty miss has had some interesting consequences!”

As a club, we are very pleased to announce that, for one night only (and one song) Mr Rob Stabler will be performing at the next function we hold at the club!!

Yes, that’s right folks, Rob will be singing a song of his choice, a capella style, live for your entertainment, we even hope to have the video cameras present as well!

The reason behind this appearance is a rather confident Rob stepped up to take penalty this afternoon against Otley and the wager was set that if he missed, he would have to sing live and, in a true Kirk Deighton Rangers moment, he did!

The tale has another happy ending as well, as Rob also agreed to donate £20 to Prostate Cancer UK as part of his forfeit, so a massive well done to Rob for being such a sport and we look forward to his session behind the microphone soon!
