Match Preview: Amaranth Manstonians

It's been a while since our Veterans side have had a run out, but that changes this coming Sunday when they take to Barr Field to play Amaranth Manstonians. Kick-Off is 2pm and the weather will be light cloud and around 7 degrees C.

Rich Strike’s men will be looking to pick up their first win of the campaign and move off the bottom rung of the ladder. They will go into this match aiming to make it a successful start to 2019, but they face a team who are fourth in the league and looking to jump up a place with all the points themselves.

On the road, Amaranth haven’t had the best of records, losing both their games. They have scored once whilst conceding eight, but the last time our two teams met, it ended in an amazing three minutes that saw us come from 4-1 down to earn a point courtesy of a 4-4 draw.

We would also like to wish our visiting team, their fans and officials a pleasant journey to and from our ground. The gates will be open from around 12:30pm and you are more than welcome to come and join us for a drink in our clubhouse. We will be serving our matchday special for just £2.00 per bottle, and there will also be a great range of both alcoholic and soft drinks for you to buy before, at half-time and after the game.
