Match Preview: Barwick Veterans

Rangers will be looking to move out of the bottom two.

It’s the clash of the bottom two on Sunday at Barr Field as Kirk Deighton Rangers Veterans welcome Barwick Veterans for a 2:00 pm kick-off. A look at the weather forecast shows that its set to rain all day, so please bring an umbrella!

It took an amazing five-minute spell to produce three goals to secure the team a point against Amaranth Manstonians last week, but it proved to Rangers that they can produce the goods when needed, and Player/Manager Rich Strike will be hoping for that attitude again in tomorrow’s game.

Barwick have only played one game so far, but they suffered a 4-2 defeat against Harrogate Vets Over 50’s. A win for Rangers would lift them a couple of places into 5th whilst a defeat would see them replace Barwick at the foot of the table, so as once said on film “Failure is not an option!”

The clubhouse will be open from 1pm and we hope that everyone visiting our ground has a pleasant time whilst they are with us.
