Match Preview: Harrogate Veterans Over 50's

Can the Veterans come home with all three points?

Our Veterans team finally get their season underway this Sunday when they take on league favourites Harrogate Veterans Over 50’s at the CNG Stadium. Kick-off for this game is 2:15pm and entrance to the Stadium will be free of charge.

The Veterans have had to patiently wait their turn to play as they didn’t have an opponent when the rest of the league kicked off last Sunday, however they will be more than ready to make up for it as they take to the artificial pitch at the home of the National Conference leaders Harrogate Town.

Despite being favourites for the title, our hosts didn’t get off to the best of starts and kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 defeat against Amaranth Manstonians. You can guarantee however that they will be wanting to make amends for that defeat, starting with beating us!

Player/Manager Rich Strike will be taking a strong 15 man squad over, including new goalkeeper Craig Robson. Hopefully the lads will come back with a successful start to their season!
