It's another tough game for our veterans side today as they take on Harrogate Over 50's at Barr Field. The match has a 2 pm kick-of time, and looking at the weather forecast, it should be played in light cloud with occasional sunny intervals.
With last weekend's 3-0 victory over Amaranth Manstonians still fresh in their memories, there is no doubt that player/manager Rich Strike will be looking to try and expand this winning run, but Rangers find themselves up against a side who are currently sitting in second place in the championship.
On their travels, Harrogate haven't fared too well as they have lost both games that they have played, with their most recent game being a 2-1 defeat against Barwick Veterans. On the road they have only managed to score one goal whilst conceding four.
A win could lift us four places up the league into fifth position, so as you can tell it is a important game, so please come and support the team.
We would also like to wish our visiting team, their fans and officials a pleasant journey to and from our ground. The gates will be open from around 12:30pm and you are more than welcome to come and join us for a drink in our clubhouse. We will be serving our matchday special for just £2.00 per bottle, and there will also be a great range of both alcoholic and soft drinks for you to buy before, at half-time and after the game.
Also, if you have any spare pennies and would like to donate them to a great cause, we will also have our prostate Cancer UK collection boxes around the clubhouse. You can also buy one of their great Men United Pin Badges for a pound (or two!) from these boxes as well.
