Match Preview: Knaresborough Celtic Veterans

Our Veterans take to the pitch on Sunday looking to climb back into the top four of the Football Mundial Harrogate & District Veterans 11-a-side League. But first, they will have to beat the team that currently resides in fourth spot!

The match has a 2pm kick-off and takes place at St John Fisher. A look at the weather doesn’t paint a great picture with gusty wings, hail showers and glimpses of sun being on display!

It’s been a couple of weeks since rangers took part in league action, and despite a 6-0 defeat to Harrogate Veterans last weekend in the cup, Player-Manager Rich Strike saw a lot of positives in the performance that his team can take into this important match.

Our opponents have, so far, managed to amass 13 points from a possible 24. The last time that the two teams met was in November 2018 and goals from Stuart Dawson (2) and Dan Brearton helped Rangers to a point with a 3-3 draw.
