Match Preview: Otley Town Veterans

Our Veterans return to the pitch today against Otley Town Veterans looking for a better performance and result than the 7-2 defeat against Knaresborough Celtic last Sunday!

The match is at Barr Field with a 2pm kick-off. A look at the weather shows another decent afternoon in store as the match should be played in Sunny Intervals.

As mentioned before, our Veterans didn’t have the best of games last time out, but they will be looking to make amends against the team that currently reside in bottom place. However, we know full well that any side in this league is more them capable of getting a result and our performance will have to be at its best to make sure that Otley don’t get the win.

A win for Deighton could see them close the gap on Knaresborough but a defeat could see both Amaranth Manstonians FC and Kirkby Malzeard AFC overtake us.

As ever, we would also like to extend a warm welcome to our visiting team, officials and supporters. The gates to the ground will be open from approximately 12:30pm and you are more than welcome to come and join us for a drink in our clubhouse. We will be serving our matchday special for just £2.50 per bottle, as well as a wide choice of both alcoholic and soft drinks for you to buy before, at half-time and after the game.
