It's a superb chance for Rangers to close the gap on the leading duo of Seacroft WMC and Sherburn White Rose today as they travel to play Amaranth Manstonians (KO 2 pm).
With two draws under their belts, our Veterans will be looking to grab all the points, but they will be wary of a Manstonians side looking for their first win as well.
Our Opponents.
Like us, Amaranth play in the Harrogate & District 11-aside Veterans Championship, so we know them pretty well, having met a couple of times before.
They haven't started this mini-cup competition very well, suffering two defeats. However, a win today could propel them up into third place (results going their way).
Past Meetings.
The last time that the two sides met was on the 6th of September in the Plate Cup. Goals from Brearton (3), Cooper, Clothier, Brook, and Wilson helped us to a 7-3 win.
Team News.
Joint-Managers Rob Stabler and Steve Smith will have to swap a few players around due to injuries and unavailability again, but it is still a strong squad that they are taking to represent Rangers.
