Having suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to league leaders Leeds Modernians Reserves last weekend, Rangers Second Team will want to put things right this Saturday. However, they face another stiff test as East End Park Reserves are the visitors (KO 2:30 pm).
The Opposition.
Following their impressive 7-3 win against Pool AFC last Saturday, our visitors climbed a few places to enter this match in 7th place in the table. At present, East End Park have two wins, a draw and three defeats to their name.
They have found the back of the net on thirteen occasions so far, making them the fourth highest scoring team in the league. They have also conceded eleven times, making them the joint-fifth highest in the division.
Past Meetings.
This game will be the third official meeting between the two sides since we returned to the West Yorkshire Football League (last season's encounter deleted due to the pandemic.) As it stands, we have won both the previous matches by a 3-0 scoreline.
The Referee.
Mr John Hartley is the referee for this match, and we wish him a pleasant time at Barr Field. This game will be the sixth that he has taken charge of this season, and looking at the FA website, it appears that he has shown just two yellow cards.
Team News.
Manager Kris Macdonald has announced a sixteen man squad for this game. Leading scorer Jack Holliday and winger Brad Spencer are missing due to personal commitments, but Charlie Yates is available to play.
