Preview: Leeds Modernians Reserves

Following our abandoned match against Tingley Athletic Reserves last Saturday, the team is itching to get back out on the pitch to try and reclaim the top spot.

However, it won't be an easy game as we welcome current leaders Leeds Modernians to Barr Field for a 2:30 pm kick-off.

The Opposition.

Our visitors have had a storming start to the new campaign and have yet to lose a game.

They have beaten Wyke Wanderers (3-0), Wetherby Athletic (4-0), Pool AFC (3-0) and had a home walkover against Brighouse Sports. Another point was also collected following a 1-1 draw against Ilkley Town.

At present, due to lack of data, it's impossible to say who their leading scorer is, but we know that Duval Donaldson, Jack Sewell and Lucas Sefton have all found the target so far.

Previous Meetings.

This game will be the first meeting between the two sides, so we look forward to meeting a new team.

The Referee.

Mr Kevin O'Donnell is the match official for this game, and we wish him a pleasant time while he is with us at Barr Field. This is his second match as a referee since the football restarted, with his first game being Leeds Modernians Reserves 3-0 win against Pool AFC Reserves.

Team News.

Manager Kris Macdonald has named a strong squad for this match. There are places for Jack Cheetham and Joe Turley, and youngster Kieran Arnett is also included.

Jack Holliday will be looking to try and break the five-goal barrier (Tingey brace not included), and Jack Loudoun will also be looking to add to his total.
