Fresh from gaining their first win of the season, our Second Team welcome Altolfts FC Reserves to Barr Field this Saturday afternoon.

The game starts at 2:30 pm, and the weather looks like it will be cloudy but dry.

The Opposition.

Our visitors come into this game in 5th position in the league table. They have gained 10 points from a possible 21 courtesy of 3 wins, including an impressive 5-3 victory over Hall Green United and a draw.

Josh Denison leads their goalscoring charts with three goals to his name. Joshua Senior is a goal behind, having scored two.

Past Meetings.

Both clubs know each other quite well, having achieved promotion at the end of last season. The two sides last met on the 12th of April when a goal by Jack Loudoun secured us a 1-0 win.

Since our transfer to the West Yorkshire Alliance leagues in 2017, we have played each other a total of five times (season 2019 not included), and we hold the advantage of 4-1 in victories.

Squad News.

Kris Macdonald will hope to have more squad members back for this game than were available for the 3-2 win against Huddersfield Amateur 2nds. One player who will be absent is Matt Trower, who hasn't shaken off the injury he picked up against Birstall Rovers a couple of weeks ago.

Mr Michael Cornell is the referee for this encounter. This game will be his first match in charge this season, and we hope he has a pleasant time with us.
