Barr Field will play host to Boroughbridge AFC Reserves tomorrow night as our second team gets their season underway.
The match starts at 6:30 pm, and a check of the MET Weather forecast indicates that it should be a dry night.
The Opposition.
Boroughbridge have been members of the Alliance League Division One since 2019, following their second-place finish in the second division. They were forced to stop playing during Covid's interruption, finishing eighth in 2019 when the league was suspended and more recently ninth during last year's mini-campaign.
Past Meetings.
The last time the teams met at Barr Field was the 13th of April 2019, when a Craig Hall goal was not enough during a 2-1 defeat. In fact, since joining the West Yorkshire Leagues, our second team hasn’t recorded a win over Boroughbridge, although we did share two draws during the 2017-2018 season.
Team News.
Manager Kris Macdonald has a big pool of players to choose from and hopes to name a squad of 16 players. With new faces, including Connor Weal and John Ahern appearing during pre-season, we may see them make their official debuts.
Match Officials.
We welcome Declan O'Regan to Barr Field for this game and hope that he has a pleasant time while he is with us.
