After a couple of away fixtures, our First-Team return to Barr Field on Saturday and welcome Hall Green United for our latest West Yorkshire Premier League match.
The game starts at 2:30 pm, and the MET Office app shows that the weather should be warm, just the right mix for enjoying a drink from our bar.
The Opposition.
Hall Green United have established themselves as a hard team to beat since their promotion to the top flight in 2019. At present, they are in sixth place, two above us. They have a total of ten points from six games and have gained wins over Whitkirk Wanderers, Robin Hood Athletic and Headingley AFC, and a draw against Hunslet Club.
We will have to be especially wary of James Cusworth, who has already scored an impressive ten goals this season.
Past Meetings.
Our database shows two previous meetings, both of which ended in defeats for us. The last time we played at Barr Field was on the 13th of December 2018, and despite Danny Grannon scoring, we lost 4-1.
Squad News.
Manager Dan Marshall will be looking to name a strong 16 man squad for this game. Ashley Tatler will be looking to build upon his five-goal total, and Jack Cheetham, fresh after scoring a superb long-range goal against Horbury Town, will be looking to add to his tally as well.
Match Officials.
Luca Caggiano, Jason Payne and Jermaine Isherwood are to be the referee and linesmen for the match. We hope that they have a pleasant time at Barr Field.
