Up Next: Horbury Town Reserves

Attention switches to the League Trophy this Saturday for our Second Team when they host Horbury Town Reserves at Barr Field.

The match has a 2 pm kick-off time, and the gates will be open for around 1 pm if you would like to come in for a pre-match drink in our clubhouse. The weather is forecast to be cloudy with occasional sunny intervals.

This match is kindly sponsored by Ashfield Nursing Home.

The Opposition.

Like their first team, Horbury's Reserves are having a superb season, both in the Alliance Division 1, where they are in second place and the various cups.

They set up this second-round tie by beating Shelley Reserves 2-1, thanks to goals from Tom Mee and Luke Haigh.

Jak Kelly leads their goalscoring charts with seven goals. He is followed by Issac Bernasko and Arista Llewellyn, who are on six each.

Past Meetings.

Our database indicates that apart from the 4-0 defeat we suffered against Horbury's reserves at Barr Field in October 2021, this will be the second time the teams have met.

Squad News.

At the time of writing, Manager Kris Macdonald has a decent sized squad for this match. Keeper Kieran Arnett returns from first-team duty, and Connor Weal, Taylor Maxwell and James Woodward should be available also. Captain Dan Flynn will be absent due to injury.

Match Official.

Mr John Murray is the referee for this game. This match will be his 18th match in charge this season. We hope that he has a pleasant time while at Barr Field.

Media.

Our media team will be present at this match. Please see our Twitter feed for match updates.

Clubhouse.

Please come and enjoy the hospitality in our clubhouse. We have a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including a new range of tea, coffee and soup, all for an excellent price.

We also hope to bring you our new 'KDRAFC Sweets & Treats' Tuck Shop. If you have a sweet tooth, Caitlin will be the young lady to see, as she will have a superb range of sweets and chocolate to purchase before, during and after the game.

You can also have a go at picking the hidden team on our popular Football Card. If you are the winner, a cash prize awaits! Funds raised by each card are split between the club and the winner.
