Looking to build on the fantastic 4-3 win over Aberford Albion Reserves last weekend, our Second-Team takes on Oxenhope Recreation Reserves at Barr Field on Saturday.

This West Yorkshire Alliance 1 match starts at 2 pm, but gates will be open to the general public at 1 pm. A look ahead at the weather indicates that it will be a dry but cloudy afternoon.

The Opposition.

Oxenhope currently sit in 14th place in the table with 6 points from a possible 33. Like us, they had a good win last Saturday, beating Huddersfield Amateur 2nd's last weekend 3-1.

Goals wise, they have scored 18 goals this season (averaging 1.6 goals per game)and conceded 41 (averaging 3.7 goals per game).

Our defence will have to keep an eye on Jack Bernandez as he leads Oxenhope's goalscoring chart with five goals. However, they also have another eleven players who have found the target this season.

Past Meetings.

Judging from our database, this may be the first meeting between both sides.

Squad News.

Manager Kris Macdonald will be hoping to try and field roughly the same team that beat Aberford. However, with Finlay Appleton and John Ahern absent, there will be some changes, and we may see some new faces!

Mr Adam Gibbons is the referee for this game. This match will be his third in charge this season. We hope that he has a pleasant time while at Barr Field.
