Following Saturday's postponement against Field FC Reserves due to lack of match officials, our Second Team travel to Cookridge tonight to play Leeds Modernians Reserves.
The match starts at 6:30 pm, and the MET have indicated that it should be decent weather.
The Opposition.
Like us, Leeds Modernians were promoted into the Reserves top flight last season. However, unlike us, they have experience of this league, having been in it for several seasons until their relegation a couple of campaigns ago.
They started this season with a creditable 2-2 draw against Beeston St. Anthony's Reserves, with Joseph Pancisi and James Skedgel scoring.
Lying in 9th position in the league table, a win tonight could take them into the top three.
Past Meetings.
The last time we met was a 1-0 defeat on the 8th of May 2021 at Barr Field.
Squad News.
There may well be several new faces in the squad tonight as Manager Kris Macdonald looks to return to winning ways. The gaffer has picked an attacking contingent, including James Woodward and Luke Trower.
Match Official.
Philip Studds will be the referee for this match. This game will be his second this season, as he was the referee for the recent Wetherby Athletic v Howden Clough Reserves match.
