Our First-Team host Huddersfield based side Linthwaite Athletic at Barr Field this Saturday after an issue has required a switch of venues.

The match is a second-round tie of the West Riding County Challenge Cup and has a kick-off time of 2 pm. The weather forecast doesn't look promising, with heavy rain throughout the afternoon.

The Opposition.

Linthwaite compete in the Huddersfield & District Division 1 and are currently in second place in the league. They have won six of the eleven games they have played, with the others ending in defeat. Goals wise, Athletic have scored 35 and conceded 28.

Their leading scorers are Max Leonard and Ryan Wadsworth, who have seven goals each.

Squad News.

With both Joe Wilks and Luke Dubery injured, Manager Dan Marshall will have to decide who starts in the centre of defence. Josh Buckley made a superb return last Saturday, and Ryan O'Donnell has also played in that position.

At the moment, the Manager has a good-sized squad to choose from, and it should be a strong team that represents us.
