Following our emphatic 7-0 defeat of Harrogate & District Premier side Harlow Hill on Saturday, we now face the challenge of Tadcaster Magnets of the York Premier Division.

Tadcaster Magnets.

A well-known team in local football circles, Tadcaster Magnets established themselves as a Premier League team in 2014. Last season, before the league was suspended due to Covid-19, they were in second place, just six points behind leaders Dunnington.

Our hosts are a skilful team who are more than capable of producing first-rate football, and we will have to show another full-on attacking display to come away with the win.

Our database shows that we have met The Magnets competitively four times. These meetings took place between 1958 to 1965 when Magnets played in the Harrogate & District Leagues. At present we have a slight advantage with two wins to one.

The last time we met in a pre-season game, a Roman Neal goal was enough to separate the two sides.

Due to injuries and absences, there will be some changes to the squad that Dan Marshall takes. However, he will be hoping to keep the bulk of the team together who beat Harlow Hill.
