We are looking for our second win of the season today but will have to be wary of a Whitkirk Wanderers side looking for an instant response following their heavy 9-0 defeat to Beeston on Wednesday.
The match starts at 2:30 pm, and some rain is forecast for the afternoon.
Our Opponents.
Whitkirk gained promotion at the end of the 2017/2018 season and have finished 6th and 9th in the following seasons. They declined to take part in last season's mini-league.
This season hasn't started the best for The Wanderers. Defeats to both Carlton Athletic and Beeston St. Anthony's have left them in the bottom position. However, this is a false position, and don't be surprised to see them climb up the table quickly.
Past Meetings.
Our database reveals one other meeting between the two teams on the 30th of November 2019 in the League Cup. Unfortunately, we were on the end of a 6-0 defeat!
Squad News.
It may well be a very different side that Manager Dan Marshall fields to the one that beat Boroughbridge. Jonty Smith looks likely to return in goal, and George Widdows may also feature.
Match Officials.
We welcome the trio of Abdul Hakimy, Nigel Bannister and Martin Ohr to Barr Field and hope that they have a pleasant time while they are with us.
