East End Park Reserves v Kirk Deighton Rangers Reserves Match Preview.

Rangers Reserves will be hoping to end a two-game losing streak in the league and claim all three points away against East End Park on Saturday.

The game has a scheduled 2:30 pm kick-off time, but due to the terrible weather that we have experienced recently, please keep watching this website, or our social media channels for match status updates.

Should the game go ahead, the weather, unsurprisingly, doesn’t look good with heavy winds and rain forecast!

The Opposition.

The tough matches keep on coming for Kris Macdonald’s team, and facing East End Park Reserves probably couldn’t have come at a worse time!

As well as being a hard side to beat, East End Park are well drilled and rarely give anything away, especially at Skelton Road.

At present, they are in fourth position in the league with a total of 24 points. At home, they have not tasted defeat and have four wins and two draws under their belt. They have scored twenty times, averaging 3.3 goals scored per home league game, and conceded just 10, averaging 1.7 goals conceded per home league game.

A foray into the FA stats shows that Rangers will have to pay attention to Aaron Kitao who has scored eight-time already this season. He is also closely followed by Christopher Scamell with seven goals.

A win for us could close the gap at the top of the table to just three points. However, a defeat will see us remain in second place, but could allow Rothwell to move to just a single point behind us.

Head to Head.

This will be the second time that the sides have met this season. Hopefully, this game will be a closer affair than the 6-1 defeat we suffered last time out!

Overall, however, we do lead 2-1 in the victory stakes with two 3-0 wins in 2018-2019.

Team News For Rangers.

MacDonald will still be without the services of Vito D’Avanzo (injury) and Jack Barker (suspension) for this match. He is hoping, however, that some of the players who missed the Ilkley Town game will be ready for this one.

The Man In The Middle.

The referee for this match is Mr Brandon Mceleny. This will be his second match in charge with one other as an Assistant Referee.

So far, his stats indicate that he has shown three yellow cards only.

Following The Match.

Should the game be played, and you wish to go see it, the address for East End Park is Skelton Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS9 9EP.

At the end of the game, we will be presenting our Bar Three Man Of The Match award to the winning Rangers player.
