Injury Forces Dave Richmond To Retire

All at Kirk Deighton Rangers AFC were saddened to hear the news that defender Dave Richmond will no longer be able to pull on the club’s shirt due to injury.
Those who follow the club, will be aware that Dave suffered a serious facial injury during the pre-season and following a final consultation at the local hospital, he has been advised to give up playing due to the this.
We would like to put on record our appreciation for all that Dave did whilst he played for us and as Reserve Player/Manager Kris Macdonald rightly pointed out,
“Losing Dave is a big blow to us. He was a great influence around the club in the short time that he was with us.”
Hopefully, this will not be the end of seeing Dave at Barr Field, as we hope that he will come back and cheer the lads on when he is able.
