Kirk Deighton Rangers Reserves v Altofts Reserves Match Preview

ree

Following a goalscoring return to winning ways last weekend, Rangers Reserves will be looking to keep momentum on their side, if mother nature allows, when they welcome Altofts Reserves to Barr Field tomorrow.

The game has a scheduled kick-off time of 2:30 pm, but with the heavy rain forecast to fall for tonight and most of tomorrow, please keep an eye on this website or our social media feeds for game status updates!

The Opposition.

Altofts have started this season well and, at time of this preview, sit in second place in the league with 16 points from a possible 27. Their away form is pretty good with two wins and a draw from four games.

Goals wise, they have scored ten (avg. 2.5 goals per away game) whilst conceding 7 (avg. 1.8 goals per away game). Their main scorer is Reece Whittam with 7, but Nathan Jarvis is right behind him with 6 goals.

Head To Head.

Out of the four previous meetings in the past two seasons, we have bene the winners three times, whilst Altofts have won once. In this corresponding fixture last season, a Chris Plews goal wasn’t enough for us as Altofts scored five in return!

Team News For Rangers.

Manager Kris Macdonald will be hoping to have a very strong squad available for this game, as he looks for his team to hopefully leapfrog over Altofts.

One player that Macdonald will be without is Andy Maxted, as the defender begins his three-match suspension for his dismissal against Rothwell FC Reserves.

The Man In The Middle.

Taking charge of this game will be Mr Max Fiterman. This will be Mr Fiterman’s fourth game in charge, although he has been an Assistant Referee three times as well. During his matches as Referee, he has issued just a single yellow card!

As with all the traveling players, officials and fans, we hope that Mr Smith has a pleasant and hassle-free time whilst he is with us at Barr Field.

Following The Match.

As normal for a 2:30 pm kick-off, the gates should be open an hour before for the general public and our club house will be ready to serve you a great range of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), so please come in and say hello and enjoy yourself before the match starts. We will be featuring our match day special drink, which you can purchase at a great price.

Also, if you have any spare pennies and would like to donate them to a great cause, we will also have our prostate Cancer UK collection boxes around the clubhouse. You can also buy one of their great Men United Pin Badges for a pound (or two!) from these boxes as well.

To end the afternoon, we will be presenting our Kirk Deighton Rangers Bar Three Man Of The Match award to the wining player, so please stay and give the lucky recipient your congratulations.
