Preview: East End Park

Only a win will do tomorrow for Rangers as they look to overtake G&C Hartshead and secure second place in the league.

Our visitors to Barr Field are East End Park, and kick-off is 2:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you all as the gates open to spectators from 1:30 pm onwards, but please continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Due to events outside our control, our media team will not be present at this match. We will, however, bring you the result as quickly as we can.

The Opposition.

East End Park are always a difficult team to play. They bring a physical presence that we will have to match all over the pitch if we want to get the result we need.

Coming into this game, our opponents are in 9th place in the league table with 8 points from a possible 27. Away from Skelton Road, they have yet to record a win this campaign but have a point from a 1-1 draw against Wetherby Athletic.

Three players sit at the top of East End's scoring charts with two goals each. These are Liam Clark, Phil Jarvis and Luke Coates.

Past Meetings.

According to our database, we have met each other twice, and the bad news is we haven't won an encounter yet! The last time we officially met, Adam Carter's goal wasn't enough as we lost 2-1 in December 2018.

The Referee.

Mr Matthew Sowerby is in charge of this game, and we hope that he has a pleasant time at Barr Field. This match is his second game of the season, and according to the FA Full-Time website, he has shown no cards so far.

Team News.

Following the postponement of last weekend's match against Shelley, Manager Dan Marshall has a good pool of players to select from. As normal, the boss is keeping his cards close to his chest in regards to his final matchday squad.
