Our Reserves look to continue their strong start to the season tomorrow as they welcome Tingley Athletic to Barr Field.
Kick-Off is 2:30 pm, but please keep watching our social media/this website as the MET office has issued several weather warnings ahead of Storm Alex.
At present spectators are allowed to this match, but please remember to check-in using the NHS Covid App and the QR codes around the ground. We also have other guidelines in place and please remember to social distance whilst at our venue.
Tingley Athletic.
Like us, Tingley started by collecting three points courtesy of a 2-1 win over East End Park Reserves on the opening day of the season.
Our opponents joined the league last season and were in eighth position in the table when football stopped. This corresponding fixture last season ended in a 4-2 win for us (Trower (2), Jenner and Turner scoring), but with that result not officially standing, this will be the first time that the two teams have met!
One To Watch.
Not much is known about our visitors. However, goals from Reece Child and Gareth Hussain got them off to a winning start, so they will need watching. Omar Karzan was their leading scorer last season, but he was absent from their team for the East End Park match.
One player who won't be featuring for Tingley is Jake Weatherhead who is serving a three-match suspension.
Team News.
It's not been easy for Manager Kris Macdonald leading up to this game. With several players missing through work and other commitments, there have also been several players drop out throughout the week, but he does welcome Jack Cheetham back into the squad.
Referee.
Dene Stockton is in charge of this game, and we both welcome him to Barr Field and hope that he has a pleasant time while he is in our company.
This is Mr Stockton's first match in charge this season, although he has been an Assistant Referee in two other games.
Information.
At the moment it is unclear which game our Media-Team will be watching. However, we will attempt to bring you the result of all games involving Rangers as soon as full-time happens.
