Having had a few weeks off, our Second-Team finally gets back on the pitch as they take on Leeds Modernians Reserves tonight at Barr Field.

The kick-off for this game is 6:30 pm, and the MET app shows that the weather should be pretty good.

The Opposition.

With the season coming to a close, Leeds Modernains Reserves find themselves second from bottom in the league. However, they are only a couple of wins from safety, so they will be going all out to try and get those points.

They have 13 points from a possible 57, which has come from three wins, four draws and twelve defeats. Their last match saw them just on the wrong end of a five-goal thriller against league leaders Boroughbridge AFC Reserves.

Goals wise, they have scored 24 (averaging 1.3 goals per game) and conceded 48 (averaging 2.6 goals per game). It is hard to identify who is their leading goalscorer as many line-ups are missing from the FA Full Time system.

Past Meetings.

This match will be the third time that the two teams have met. The first was last season when Leeds claimed a 1-0 win. This season saw both teams play out a 2-2 draw on the 23rd of August 2021. Goals came from Luke Trower and Liam Dean.

Even though they are missing several players, the management has still named a strong squad that will see the return of a couple of experienced players.
